[2021 Public Institution Awards] Korea Industrial Manpower Corporation Opens 'K-Digital Platform' in 5 Regions Nationwide
Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation, Minister of Employment and Labor Award
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award at the ‘2021 Asia Economy ESG Public Institution Awards’ in recognition of its contribution to job creation, including establishing digital training centers called 'K-Digital Platform' in five regions nationwide in line with government policies.
HRD Korea supported young people to gain early on-site corporate job experience through digital talent development as well as the Work-Learning Dual System project. It also operated the comprehensive overseas employment portal ‘World Job Plus,’ providing job seekers with information on overseas advancement, competency development training, and employment placement services.
The organization faithfully carried out its core roles such as vocational competency development, National Competency Standards (NCS), national qualification examinations, and overseas employment support. Especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when vocational training shifted to non-face-to-face formats, it expanded remote training infrastructure and smart blended training to activate non-face-to-face and digital training.
