Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ranks First in Electric Vehicle Evaluation by German Auto Magazine
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor's first dedicated electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, ranked first in an electric vehicle comparison evaluation by a German automotive magazine.
According to HMG Journal, Hyundai Motor Group's media channel, on the 12th, the German magazine "Auto Zeitung" recently conducted a comparison evaluation of three crossover electric vehicle models, where the Ioniq 5 was selected as the best model with a total score of 3267 points.
Auto Zeitung evaluated the Ioniq 5, BMW iX3, and Audi Q4 e-tron across detailed categories such as body, driving comfort, eco-friendliness/cost, and powertrain. The iX3 scored 3187 points, and the Q4 e-tron scored 3149 points.
The Ioniq 5 received high marks in launch acceleration and top speed categories and was also praised for its charging technology. It achieved high scores in environmental aspects such as braking performance, residual value, and warranty period.
