This regular performance is organized to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the founding and the 2nd anniversary of the completion of Sancheong Madanggeuk Village, and will be held over two days at 7 p.m. on the 4th and 11th.
The performance consists of Keundeul’s representative content ‘Madanggeuk Ojakgyo Arirang,’ ‘Kim Hyun-il Invitational Performance,’ and ‘Sancheong Madanggeuk Village Special Performance.’
Ojakgyo Arirang depicts communication and harmony through young lovers from two villages that have long lived apart. Since its original creative premiere in 2015, it has reached 200 performances in five years.
The ‘Sancheong Madanggeuk Village Special Performance’ is staged as a unique production set against the village backdrop. All lighting, lights, microphones, and speakers are turned off, with only people, crickets, stars, and moonlight as the background.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the performance will be conducted on a significantly reduced scale. The performance schedule may change depending on the weather and COVID-19 conditions.
