North Korea Publicizes Statement by Kim Yong-chol, Director of the United Front Department, Criticizing South Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] North Korea has once again made public to its residents the statement by Kim Young-chol, head of the United Front Department of the Workers' Party of Korea, following the recent anti-South Korea statement issued by Kim Yo-jong, deputy director of the North Korean Workers' Party.
On the evening of the 11th at 8 PM, Korean Central Television reported the statement released by Kim Young-chol through the Korean Central News Agency. In his statement, Kim condemned the joint South Korea-U.S. military exercises that began on the 10th as "war drills conducted with the intent of treating our country as an enemy." He also warned that "this wrong choice will make us feel moment by moment how close we are to an enormous security crisis."
