Ministry of Legislation Announces Major Enforcement Laws for August
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] From now on, a fine of 100,000 KRW will be imposed on so-called 'Yamchejok' who occupy electric vehicle charging stations for an extended period.
The Ministry of Government Legislation announced on the 1st the 21 major laws to be enforced in August, including this provision.
According to the Ministry, starting from the 5th, the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Development and Promotion of Environmentally Friendly Automobiles will be implemented. If users of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric cars park in charging zones longer than the required charging time, they will be fined 100,000 KRW.
On the 12th, the amended Fertilizer Control Act will come into effect. Fertilizer importers and exporters who intend to suspend operations for more than six months must report to the mayor, county governor, or district head. Free distribution and supply fertilizers must comply with fair standards and be reported under fertilizer import business regulations.
If false or exaggerated advertisements regarding fertilizer components, effects, or manufacturing methods are detected, offenders may face imprisonment of up to two years or fines up to 20 million KRW.
From the 19th, the amended Act on the Promotion of Films and Videos will be enforced. Mandatory pre-filming sexual violence prevention education will be required. If necessary, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism may conduct on-site investigations.
On the 28th, the amended Veterinarian Act will be implemented. Those who graduate from animal nursing-related departments at junior colleges or higher and pass the animal health technician certification exam will be recognized by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The government explains this as an institutional improvement to enhance professionalism and responsibility.
