KT to Showcase Next-Generation Transportation System at Smart Land Expo
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] KT announced on the 19th that it will participate in the ‘2021 Smart Land Expo’ hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to introduce KT’s mobility services and businesses.
The Smart Land Expo, now in its 13th year, will be held for three days from the 21st to the 23rd on a metaverse-based online platform under the theme "Another Korea, Digital Twin Land Designs the Future (Digital Twin, Design the Smarter future)."
KT will operate an exhibition hall under the theme ‘DIGICO KT Smart Mobility’ and introduce five services and businesses including the ‘Geomaster’ mobility platform, One Navi navigation, AI infotainment, Jeju Island’s next-generation transportation system (C-ITS), and Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM). Geomaster is a mobility solution that offers map, traffic, place search, and route guidance functions along with specialized features such as Giga Genie AI voice recognition, AI-based traffic prediction, and route guidance for freight and electric vehicles.
In addition, various new services of One Navi, which enhance user convenience, can also be experienced at the KT exhibition hall. One Navi provides real-time signal information on about 300 km of major roads in Jeju Island in connection with the C-ITS system built by KT in Jeju, and supports a driver’s license specialized service that allows practice on 108 road driving test courses at 27 driver’s license test centers nationwide.
Moreover, visitors can view the Jeju C-ITS project, which implements real-time two-way communication between vehicles and between vehicles and roads using video analysis solutions and precise positioning technology, the Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) platform, and ‘AI Mobility Infotainment’ that can be enjoyed inside vehicles.
