On the 30th, KT announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with True through a video conference system, focusing on the development of DX business. True is one of Thailand's major telecommunications companies providing wired internet, 5G mobile communication services, and IPTV services, with 4.3 million wired subscribers and 31.2 million wireless subscribers as of the first quarter of this year.
Accordingly, the two companies will begin joint research and development on DX business co-development and core technologies related to the services.
Starting with this, KT has set a strategy to promote DX business in Thailand by leveraging its DX capabilities such as enterprise-dedicated LTE·5G, GigaEyes, and AI hotel services. In particular, they will closely collaborate in the enterprise-dedicated LTE·5G business sector to provide services targeting B2B and B2G customers including local large corporations, police, military, government, Korean companies in Thailand, and global companies. Enterprise-dedicated LTE·5G is a type of wireless dedicated line that securely connects the data of adopting organizations such as enterprises and governments to an intranet, thus being highly regarded for its security.
