iMBC Campus Launches 'Korean History Proficiency Test' Course to Commemorate Chungmugong Birthday!
Chungnyeolsa (Tongyeong) Travel Support Fund, Course Extension Voucher, and Other Events Commemorating Admiral Chungmugong's Birthday
iMBC Campus announced on April 28, in celebration of Admiral Yi Sun-sin's birthday, the launch of the ‘iMBC Campus Korean History Proficiency Test Course.’
The Korean History Proficiency Test, organized and administered by the National Institute of Korean History to raise public interest in our history, has been gaining importance as it offers additional points for employment in public enterprises, corporations, and foundations, and is a mandatory qualification for applying to 5th and 7th grade civil service exams, resulting in an increasing number of test takers each year.
Up to the 52nd test held on April 11, the Korean History Proficiency Test has undergone changes in structure and difficulty since the 47th test last year. While most commercial textbooks have not sufficiently reflected the recent past exam questions, iMBC Campus has perfectly incorporated the latest past exam questions, completing a shortest-term learning course optimized for the changed exam difficulty with essential memorization points, core theories, past exam questions, practice problems, and final review of key topics.
Jung Woo-yeol, Vice President of iMBC Campus, stated, “In the midst of escalating conflicts with neighboring countries such as China’s cultural projects and the Korea-Japan issues regarding comfort women and forced labor, it is more important than ever for the people of the Republic of Korea to have interest in and accurate understanding of our history. We hope that the iMBC Campus Korean History Proficiency Test Course, launched on the occasion of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s birthday, will greatly contribute to raising public interest in our history and establishing a correct historical perspective.”
Additionally, iMBC Campus is conducting various launch events to honor Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s noble patriotism, including providing 200,000 KRW travel support for visiting Namhae Chungnyeolsa, the shrine of General Yi Sun-sin. Detailed information can be found by visiting the website.
