Samsung Electronics launched the 'Bespoke Jet Bot AI,' a robot vacuum cleaner with enhanced object recognition and driving performance through advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology, on the 27th.
This product has pre-learned over one million images, enabling it to recognize the largest number of objects among domestic robot vacuum cleaners. Equipped with a 'LiDAR' sensor used in autonomous vehicles, it creates image maps of various areas inside the home such as bedrooms, living rooms, and laundry spaces, and cleans autonomously while moving. It is also the first in the industry to feature a 3D sensor using the 'Active Stereo Camera' method, capable of detecting all obstacles larger than 1㎤.
Consumers can specify particular areas through Samsung smartphone's AI voice recognition service 'Bixby,' by commands like "Clean around the sofa." Upon receiving the command, the Bespoke Jet Bot AI detaches from its docking station and cleans the designated area. It rotates 360 degrees, closely adhering to walls to suction dust, and autonomously avoids obstacles such as socks, wires, and glass cups encountered during navigation. There is also a function to specify additional cleaning only for areas the vacuum could not pass due to obstacles. After cleaning, the robot vacuum returns to the docking station called the 'Clean Station,' where it automatically empties the dustbin and charges itself.
The Bespoke Jet Bot AI is equipped with a digital inverter motor that enhances suction power. It also has a function to automatically detect floor materials, providing stronger cleaning for materials prone to dust accumulation, such as carpets. The digital inverter motor is covered by a 'lifetime warranty' service.
This product also includes features for pet care. When consumers use the 'Pet Care' service provided through the Samsung SmartThings application, they can check their pets' status in real-time from outside via the camera attached to the robot vacuum. Additionally, the robot vacuum's built-in speaker can play music that helps soothe pets emotionally.
The Bespoke Jet Bot AI comes in five colors?Misty White, Satin Pink, Satin Blue, Soft Greenery, and Soft Sun Yellow?allowing consumers to choose according to their preferences. The retail price is 1,590,000 KRW.
