Changwon City Holds 'Social Economy Startup Academy' to Revitalize Local Economy
From Basic Social Economy Literacy Education to Business Team Discovery and Customized Startup Consulting Support
Changwon City will hold the 2021 Changwon-style Social Economy Startup Academy for 20 citizens.

The Social Economy Startup Academy, which runs until the 21st of next month, was prepared to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and to expand the social economy ecosystem.
Social economy enterprises refer to companies that engage in economic activities with the value of people as the foremost consideration, not solely aiming for profit like the traditional market economy, but providing social services such as education, childcare, and nursing care, and offering jobs to vulnerable groups.
The startup academy program consists of two courses: basic social economy education (4th week of April to 4th week of April) and advanced social economy startup education (5th week of April to 3rd week of May).
Business team management consulting (June to September) and follow-up support projects (September to November) are also planned.
Graduates of the education program will be given priority selection when visiting excellent social economy enterprises in other regions.
Additionally, benefits such as extra points will be given when applying for this year's social economy entrepreneur fostering project preliminary startup team recruitment and next year's social economy entrepreneur fostering project startup team recruitment.
