[Featured Stock] CIS Rises on News of Joint All-Solid-State Battery Development with Samsung SDI
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] CIS, an equipment manufacturer related to electrode production for lithium secondary batteries, is showing strong performance following the news that Samsung SDI will participate in a government project on next-generation batteries, ‘all-solid-state batteries,’ jointly with CIS, DH, and Mirae Company to accelerate development.
As of 9:34 AM on the 25th, CIS is trading at 15,050 KRW, up 5.99% compared to the previous day.
According to the industry, on the 24th, Samsung SDI announced that it will participate as a demand company and private investor in the all-solid-state battery government project, with CIS joining as a joint participant. Since June last year, they have been conducting an all-solid-state battery research and development project, aiming to develop mass production equipment. Various support is expected from the government and Samsung SDI until 2024.
