"Postpartum Care with AI" KT Provides AI Postpartum Care Center Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 17th that it will establish and launch an artificial intelligence (AI) postpartum care center at ‘De Femme Postpartum Care Center Magok Branch’ located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
This is the first time that a dedicated ‘AI Postpartum Care Center’ service has been built using the technology and solutions applied in the KT AI Hotel. The KT AI postpartum care center service has been introduced in all 22 rooms of the ‘De Femme Postpartum Care Center Magok Branch.’
Mothers using the postpartum care center can call ‘Giga Genie’ to request room supplies such as maternity clothes, wrist guards, diapers, and wet wipes without having to call the information desk or the newborn room separately. Additionally, with the voice shopping feature, they can purchase necessary items using voice commands alone. The service also provides voice control for room facilities such as TV, curtains, and heating/cooling, along with concierge services, allowing requests for expert consultations, family visits, massages, and breastfeeding assistance.
The postpartum care center can manage service requests received at any time through the system. Service requests submitted via Giga Genie can be checked in detail by administrators on a dedicated page, enabling staff to be assigned and respond without delays or omissions, thereby improving the operational efficiency of the care center.
On the same day as the service commercialization, KT also signed a business agreement with De Femme Postpartum Care Center to provide ‘hotel-style postpartum care center services.’
Choi Joon-ki, Executive Director of KT AI & Big Data Business Division, said, “Since this is a period with a high risk of COVID-19 infection, we hope that mothers and newborns will experience safety through the AI postpartum care center service. KT will apply AI technology across various industries to provide differentiated services and convenience tailored to customer needs.”
