[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 3rd, Kim Ansuk, Chairperson of the Seocho District Council, participated in the ‘Expect Local Autonomy Challenge’ to announce and welcome the opening of the Local Autonomy 2.0 era.
The ‘Expect Local Autonomy Challenge’ is a campaign initiated by the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy to spread interest and awareness about the realization of resident-centered local autonomy, following the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act by the National Assembly on December 9 last year, the first in 32 years.
Having been nominated by Kim Hoseok, Chairperson of Andong City Council, and Park Samrye, Chairperson of Gwangjin District Council, Chairperson Kim Ansuk expressed her expectations, saying, “2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the implementation of local autonomy. The Seocho District Council welcomes the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act and hopes to open the Local Autonomy 2.0 era through the realization of resident-centered local autonomy, the main agent of local autonomy.”

Meanwhile, the next campaign participants nominated were Yoon Yuhyun, Chairperson of the first half of Seodaemun District Council, Im Jeongok, member of Yangcheon District Council, and Park Jinam, member of Seocho District Council.
