Eunpyeong-gu Youth Deliver 'Wooden Hand Sanitizer Stand' Made by Themselves
Eunpyeong Innovation District Project 'My Dream Classroom' Program for Sharing Volunteer Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) created 10 wooden hand sanitizer holders made by youth through the Eunpyeong Innovation Education District's 'My Dream Classroom' program and delivered them to local institutions used by youth (Galhyeon Youth Center, Eunpyeong Village After-School Support Center, Eunpyeong Education Welfare Center, etc.).
The 'My Dream Classroom' program, part of the Eunpyeong Innovation District project, connects youth with local specialized institutions to learn about fields of interest, apply the acquired knowledge to create works, and give back to the community, fostering a sense of achievement and fulfillment.
The wooden safe hand sanitizers delivered this time were created by youth interested in woodworking in collaboration with local institutions such as the Wood樂 Workshop within Seoul Innovation Park and the Eunpyeong Education Welfare Center. They planned and produced the works themselves with hopes of preventing and ending COVID-19, enhancing the quality of the pieces by engraving nameplates using woodburning techniques.
Eunpyeong-gu announced plans to further expand this year's pledge project, the Eunpyeong Youth Village School project, by linking with future innovation schools and life skills schools within Seoul Innovation Park to support more diverse programs such as 'Making My Own Bicycle.'
