On the 30th, NCSoft released the 'Lineage 2M Anniversary Special Video' to celebrate the game's first anniversary, which has recorded over 11.12 million views.
The video depicts a woman named Yudahee walking down the street, hearing someone call out "Dahee," and opening a door to reveal blacksmiths. Yudahee is a type of gaming term. It creatively represents the in-game death screen message 'YOU DIED' as if it were a Korean person's name.
Notably, the advertisement gained attention as NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin appeared in it. Kim appeared as one of the blacksmiths, sporting yellow-dyed hair and medieval attire, eliciting laughter. Lee Sung-gu, the general producer who led the development of Lineage 2M, Baek Seung-wook, the head of development, and Kim Nam-joon, the PD, also appeared alongside CEO Kim.
