"Kakao Launches Product Subscription Service with 'Kimchi Refrigerator Rental via KakaoTalk'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao will launch a product subscription service on the 19th that allows users to apply for rentals and regular deliveries through the KakaoTalk channel.
Users can check rental and regular delivery information for various products such as home appliances, furniture, and air purifier filters on the KakaoTalk channel.
The service enhances convenience by enabling users to complete the complicated process of subscribing to and using regular subscription products offline with just a few clicks within KakaoTalk.
For example, if you want to use a kimchi refrigerator rental product, you can complete all necessary steps for rental use, including purchase consultation, contract, and delivery installation, through the company's KakaoTalk channel without installing a separate app.
Kakao provides a 'Subscription Service Platform (SSP)' to business partners offering product subscription services on KakaoTalk.
Partners can register product information on Kakao SSP and manage the entire process of providing product subscription services to offer a more systematic service.
Kakao plans to provide SSP tailored to business types such as home appliances, automobiles, real estate, and content services to build a more expanded digital business ecosystem.
Starting with WiniaAid's Dimchae kimchi refrigerator on this day, rental and regular delivery products from companies such as Bodyfriend, Amorepacific, Winix, and Hanssem will be available sequentially within the year.

A Kakao representative said, "With the recent increase in single-person households, changes in consumer consumption patterns, and the spread of a culture that prefers non-face-to-face consumption, many companies are preparing or starting product subscription businesses," adding, "We will flexibly and strongly connect users and companies within KakaoTalk, which is most actively used in daily life, to provide an evolved digital business experience for everyone."
