NHN Achieves Record High 42.8 Billion KRW in China's Singles' Day Sales
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NHN announced on the 16th that it recorded the highest-ever transaction amount at China's largest online shopping festival, 'Guanggunje'.
According to NHN Acommate, which operates e-commerce business based in China, the transaction amount during this year's Guanggunje reached 42.8 billion KRW, marking the largest scale ever. This represents a 56% increase compared to the transaction amount during last year's Guanggunje period.
This year, fashion transactions stood out, accounting for 45% of NHN Acommate's transaction amount. Cosmetics (29%), health supplements (29%), and personal care (6%) followed in order.
NHN Acommate explained, "During the Guanggunje period, we conducted live commerce for more than 10 hours a day using our own studio and dedicated personnel, and collaborated on regular live broadcasts with famous Chinese Wanghong (influencers), which contributed to increased sales."
'Jeonggwanjang,' a major client of NHN Acommate, ranked first in the health supplements category on Tmall Global Store during the Guanggunje period.

Yoon Sik Lee, Head of NHN Commerce Business Division and CEO of NHN Godo, said, "Based on 12 years of service know-how in China, we are growing every year together with our clients through various marketing strategies tailored to Chinese consumers' purchasing tendencies," adding, "Following the '618 Shopping Festival' and Guanggunje, we plan to focus on the December 12 Chinese 'Ssangshipijeol' event, the last large-scale event of this year."
