Korea Transportation Safety Authority Donates Skills for 'Housing Renovation' Near Gimcheon Headquarters
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA, Chairman Kwon Byung-yoon) announced on the 2nd that on October 30th, they visited low-income households near Guseong-myeon in Gimcheon Innovation City to carry out a talent donation activity called 'Fixing Houses with Love.'
On that day, the Donggurami Volunteer Group and employees of the Transportation Safety Authority conducted volunteer work for low-income households supported by the Guseong-myeon Customized Welfare Team, including wallpapering and flooring, wall painting, and repairing old electrical facilities.
Since August 19th, the Transportation Safety Authority, participating in the COVID-19 crisis overcoming efforts and local love practice movement, has been continuing social contribution activities such as cleaning work for households lacking manpower and installing new nets in vineyards. This activity is part of a relay series.
Yoo Yeon-chun, Director of the Railway Technology Department at the Transportation Safety Authority, said, "This volunteer work was especially meaningful as it was a talent donation activity by employees of the Railway Technology Department and Railway Inspection Department," adding, "We plan to continue talent donation activities utilizing the characteristics of the Authority’s projects, leading regional development through continuous communication and support with local residents."
