"Did Porn Sound Really Come from the Professor's Screen?" Hongik University English Lecturer Suspected of Watching Porn During Exam
Hongik University Requests Explanation Letter from the Professor Involved
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A native English professor at a university is under investigation by the school after allegations arose that he played pornographic material during an online exam.
On the 29th, a post titled "Hey, did anyone taking the English professor's exam just now hear porn video sounds from the professor's screen?" was uploaded on Hongik University's online community Everytime on the 26th.
The author claimed, "I thought it was a baby crying and it was noisy, but when I looked, it seemed like moaning," adding, "Only the microphone was on throughout the exam, and about an hour after it started, students only heard audio. I don't know if it was really for viewing pleasure."
Students presumed to have taken the same lecture commented, "I recorded the screen briefly and just left," and "The female voice was speaking English, and I wondered if it was real because such words came out."
At the time, Professor A's camera was off, but the microphone was on, so students taking the exam reportedly heard sounds that appeared to have been played by the professor.
