Songpa-gu Hosts Job Network 'Meet up! Startup' Event
Meeting Successful Startups and Prepared Talent... From Online Mentoring to Employment Connection All at Once
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is running the 'Meetup! Startup' job matching program until November to assist job seekers and startups in recruitment.
Many startup companies possess innovative technologies and ideas but face difficulties due to the inability to secure talented personnel.
Additionally, there are quite a few young people who have the capabilities but do not challenge startups due to lack of information.
In response, Songpa-gu has taken the initiative to simultaneously solve the difficulties of job seekers and employers, revitalizing the recruitment market and startup industry, which have been subdued by COVID-19.
'Meetup! Startup' is a program that provides individual competency assessments and online mentoring for job seekers and connects them to startups that need them.
The program consists of two sessions: ▲ Introduction to Startups (special lecture by outstanding startup CEOs) ▲ Individual competency assessment and company recommendation for job seekers ▲ Online company exploration ▲ Personalized online mentoring (resume review, application support).
Participants will be matched 1:1 with companies suited to their skills and aptitudes, providing solutions up to employment linkage.
120 young people hoping to work in startups and 20 startup companies with new recruitment plans will be recruited online until October 26. Detailed information can be found on the Songpa-gu Office website or through the Job Policy Officer at the district office.

Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “There are many excellent startups in Songpa-gu, but it is unfortunate that young job seekers do not apply because they are unaware of them,” adding, “We will actively utilize the job matching program to create a virtuous cycle ecosystem of jobs where everyone grows together.”
