Live YouTube Broadcast on "Raising Stress-Resilient Children" in Jung-gu, Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Seo Yang-ho) will conduct a non-face-to-face education session using YouTube at 10 a.m. on the 16th for parents interested in child-rearing, under the theme "COVID-19 Pandemic: How to Raise Our Children Strong Against Stress."
The education will be led by Professor Kim Bung-nyeon, director of the Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center and a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry at Seoul National University Hospital, who will discuss "How Parents Can Properly Raise Children in Stressful Situations." This is appealing news for parents who have recently found child-rearing difficult or uncomfortable due to COVID-19.
Professor Kim Bung-nyeon, who is in charge of the lecture, is a renowned child and adolescent mental health specialist with multiple broadcasting experiences including "EBS Invitation" and has authored books such as "The Child's Brain That Determines a Lifetime of Happiness" and "Children's Friendships, Empathy is the Answer."
The purpose of this education is to help parents enhance their capabilities and improve relationships with their children by providing methods for mental quarantine at home and related tasks while maintaining daily life alongside COVID-19, thereby supporting the mental health of family members.
To prevent community spread of COVID-19, the education will be broadcast live online via YouTube and can be viewed from 10 a.m. on the 16th on the "Seoul Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center" YouTube channel. Any Jung-gu resident interested can participate.
If viewers watch the education after pre-registering with the Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center, they can participate in quizzes and satisfaction surveys to receive gifts. Pre-registration can be done by phone through the Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center.
Mayor Seo Yang-ho of Jung-gu stated, "We will prepare various psychological quarantine measures so that children, parents, and all Jung-gu residents do not suffer psychological aftereffects due to COVID-19."
