Sahmyook University Ranks First in Scholarship Payments in the Seoul Metropolitan Area... Average 3.94 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Samyook University announced on the 8th that it provided the highest amount of scholarships per student in the metropolitan area last year.
According to the university information disclosure results in August this year, Samyook University's scholarship amount per enrolled student last year was 3,937,121 KRW, the highest among general universities in the metropolitan area with more than 3,000 enrolled students.
This is about 640,000 KRW more than the national average scholarship per enrolled student of 3.29 million KRW at general universities last year, and about 880,000 KRW more than the metropolitan area universities' average (53 schools) of 3.05 million KRW. Considering that Samyook University's average annual tuition fee last year was 7,731,931 KRW, more than half of the tuition is supported as scholarships.

Samyook University provided a special scholarship of 300,000 KRW to all enrolled students and is currently conducting fundraising campaigns with the Alumni Association and the Student Council to help students whose family circumstances have become difficult due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
