[Public Notice+] Golden Century Reports Operating Profit of 15.6 Billion KRW in H1, Up 5.4% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Golden Century, a manufacturer of wheels and tires for tractors, announced on the 31st that its operating profit slightly increased in the first half of this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
According to the performance disclosure, the company recorded an operating profit of approximately 15.6 billion KRW (91 million yuan) on a consolidated basis for the first half of the year, a 5.4% increase compared to the first half of last year. Sales and net profit for the period reached 57.3 billion KRW (334 million yuan) and 11.3 billion KRW (66 million yuan), respectively, showing decreases of 2.5% and 2% compared to the first half of last year.

A Golden Century official stated, “The slight decrease in sales and net profit in the first half of this year is due to the impact of COVID-19, but achieving performance levels similar to the previous year even during the pandemic indicates that our business structure and system have become very stable.” He added, “We expect sales growth through new businesses such as mold laser cutting machine manufacturing and tractor complete product manufacturing.”
