Seoul National University of Science and Technology Selected for 4th Phase BK21 Project, Receives 5 Billion KRW Funding
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Seoul National University of Science and Technology announced on the 13th that it has been selected for the '4th Phase BK21 (Brain Korea 21) Project' organized by the Ministry of Education and implemented by the National Research Foundation of Korea. SeoulTech will secure a total project budget of 5 billion KRW over seven years, and graduate students in the selected project team will receive research scholarships of 700,000 KRW per month for master's students and 1,300,000 KRW per month for doctoral students. Lee Dong-hoon, President of SeoulTech, said, "We have established and consistently pursued plans to strengthen graduate research capabilities," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that our university becomes a globally recognized research-oriented university."
