Seongnam City Revises Basic Plan for Apartment Remodeling
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is reorganizing the basic plan for apartment remodeling established five years ago.
The basic remodeling plan is a statutory plan established every 10 years. According to the Housing Act, the validity of the basic plan is reviewed every five years after its establishment.
Seongnam City announced on the 1st that it will invest 279 million KRW by April next year to reorganize the basic plan for apartment remodeling established and announced in December 2015.
The target includes 263 complexes with more than 15 years since completion by the target year 2025, which are subject to statutory remodeling, totaling 143,000 households.
Through a survey of apartment status, the city will predict remodeling demand based on household increase by region, analyze the impact on infrastructure, and prepare management measures for urban overcrowding and concentrated relocation demand.
Related ordinances, step-by-step remodeling implementation plans, and apartment remodeling standards for urban landscape management will also be reviewed.
To create an eco-friendly residential environment, measures to induce high energy efficiency in buildings and support plans for smooth remodeling promotion will be prepared.
