Sahmyook College of Pharmacy to Transition to Integrated 6-Year Program Starting 2022 Academic Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The College of Pharmacy at Samyook University announced on the 8th that starting from the 2022 academic year admissions, which will be taken by current high school sophomores, it will change its academic system from the current '2+4 year system' to an integrated 6-year system. The current 2+4 year system allows students who have completed 2 years at other universities or departments to take the Pharmacy College Entrance Qualification Exam and transfer to the College of Pharmacy to study for an additional 4 years. The new integrated 6-year system will select students from the 1st year and educate them continuously for 6 years. To prevent a 2-year gap in pharmacist production, both the 6-year system and the 2+4 year transfer system will be operated concurrently for the 2022 and 2023 academic years. The number of students to be admitted to the 6-year pharmacy program in 2022 is a total of 37.
