Seocho District Council Concludes 297th Extraordinary Session, Approves 8 Billion KRW COVID-19 Supplementary Budget
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jongsuk) concluded the 297th extraordinary session, which was held over a period of seven days, with the 2nd plenary session on the 20th.
At this 2nd plenary session, the supplementary budget of 10 billion KRW requested by Seocho District was reviewed by the Budget and Accounts Special Committee, resulting in a reduction of 2 billion KRW from the Disaster Management Fund's management improvement support, and a total of 8 billion KRW was approved.
In particular, the 2nd supplementary budget focused on the recovery of the local economy, which has been stagnated due to COVID-19, allocating 2 billion KRW for special support to small business owners in niche sectors and 6 billion KRW for urgent operational support such as public utility fees for small merchants.
