Youth Training Center to Allow Individual Accommodation for General Public
Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Approval of the 'Youth Basic Act' Promulgation Bill at the Cabinet Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Individual accommodation for the general public will be allowed at youth training centers. In addition, legal support grounds for Youth Labor Protection Centers will be established, and support is expected to be strengthened.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 12th that the Youth Basic Act enforcement ordinance and the Youth Activity Promotion Act enforcement ordinance, which include these contents, were approved through the Cabinet meeting.
With this revision of the Youth Basic Act, the legal basis for supporting the Youth Labor Protection Center projects established in four regions nationwide, including the metropolitan area and the Chungcheong area, has been prepared, and practical support for part-time working youth is expected to be strengthened in the future.
With the revision of the Youth Activity Promotion Act, only group activities such as youth organizations or school group training activities were previously allowed, but individual accommodation for the general public using youth training centers will also be possible. The facility can be provided within the range that does not interfere with youth activities (40% of the annual capacity of the training facility).
