Gwangjin-gu Supports Installation Costs for 'Solar Mini Power Plants'
Accepting Applications for Solar Mini Power Plant Installation Subsidy Program Until November 30... Installation Cost Support Planned for 600 Households Including 100 Residential and 500 Veranda Types
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is collaborating with Seoul City to partially support the installation costs of 'solar mini power plants' in local residences.
The 'solar mini power plant' is a facility that produces electricity independently by installing small-scale solar modules in designated places such as apartment balconies and house rooftops.
The district has secured 125 million KRW from its budget to support the installation of solar mini power plants, planning to partially subsidize installation costs for a total of 600 households, including 100 residential-type and 500 balcony-type units.
Additionally, the district will provide 50,000 KRW per household for balcony-type installations and 1 million KRW per household for residential-type installations. Seoul City will subsidize 1,200 KRW per watt for balcony-type and 700,000 KRW per kilowatt for residential-type installations.
Information on suppliers and products can be found on the district’s website (http://www.gwangjin.go.kr) and Seoul’s Sunlight Map website (http://solarmap.seoul.go.kr).
Residents wishing to install residential-type systems can select suppliers and consult through the website before installation, with subsidy applications handled by the suppliers at the time of installation.
For balcony-type installations, applications can be made by calling the Solar Call Center (☎1566-0494) or applying online via Seoul Sunny Maru (https://www.sunnyseoul.com).
Applications are accepted until November 30, and since installation subsidies and out-of-pocket expenses may vary depending on the supplier and product, applicants should check the detailed information on the website before making a choice. Note that the program will end early once the budget is exhausted and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
