Teenager Arrested and Sent to Prosecution for Forcing Same-Age Peer to Film Sexual Exploitation Video Through Threats
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] A high school girl who threatened a peer female student to film sexually exploitative videos has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 22nd, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent teenage high school student A to the prosecution under detention on charges of forcible molestation, coercion, and violation of the Youth Protection Act (production of obscene materials).
A is accused of obtaining nude photos from teenage victim B, whom she met earlier this year through Facebook Messenger, then threatening to distribute them to force B to take sexually exploitative photos and videos. After receiving B's report, the police launched an investigation and arrested A, placing her in custody.
It has been confirmed that A did not distribute the sexually exploitative videos obtained from the victim externally. The police also determined that this case is not related to the so-called Telegram 'Nth Room' incident.

Based on a Supreme Court ruling that coercing a victim to perform obscene acts through threats, even without direct physical contact, constitutes forcible molestation, the police applied the charge of forcible molestation to A as well.
