The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family provides emergency care through the Youth After-School Academy to allow youths who have difficulty participating in remote classes at home to attend classes at youth training centers, youth cultural houses, and other facilities. It is currently operated at 273 locations nationwide.
At each center, youths attend classes stably like regular school lessons and receive after-school care support after classes end. Since the end of February, meal support and online learning support have also continued for youths who have difficulty receiving care at home.
Institutions supporting remote classes are equipped with quarantine supplies such as masks, thermometers, and hand sanitizers, and create a learning environment by securing an appropriate area per youth and requiring headset use. In addition, to prepare for cases of staff shortages, university work-study students are utilized to assist and support students' learning.
