View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) received donations of goods and money to overcome COVID-19 from the Jungnang-gu Daycare Center Association (Private Daycare Center Association President Baek Eun-kyung, Public Daycare Center Association President Go Eun-kyung, Home Daycare Center Association President Hwang In-soon) from the 1st to the 3rd.
The Public Daycare Center Association and the Home Daycare Center Association provided 470 servings of snacks to encourage public officials struggling due to COVID-19, while the Private Daycare Center Association collected donations from 68 daycare centers and 576 childcare staff, totaling 14,489,000 KRW.
In particular, despite the difficulties in operating daycare centers due to the decrease in childcare children, childcare teacher Won Mi-kyung of Haerum Daycare Center donated her March salary, becoming a role model in the local community.
The donated funds will be entrusted to the Jungnang-gu Social Welfare Council and used to support activities to overcome COVID-19.
Meanwhile, 223 daycare centers in the region remain closed due to the extended COVID-19 shutdown, and emergency childcare is being provided for dual-income couples and others.
