[Breaking] 6 More COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Bucheon Church in One Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Six additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported at a church in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. The number of confirmed cases has been increasing since an employee of an insurance call center in Guro, Seoul, who contracted COVID-19, visited the church.
On the 14th, Bucheon City announced that six people tested positive for COVID-19 at a church in Sosabon-dong, two in the morning and four in the afternoon. The total number of confirmed cases related to the church has risen to 14.
It was identified that the 19th confirmed case in Bucheon, an employee of the Ace Insurance call center in Guro-gu, Seoul, attended worship at the church on the 8th.
Bucheon City tested all 53 of the 58 worship attendees, excluding five residents from other regions. Thirty-nine tested negative. Previously, on the 12th and 13th, seven people including the pastor and church members were consecutively confirmed positive.

Among the confirmed cases, one is a nursing assistant. The Bucheon Hanayo Nursing Hospital in Sosabon-dong, where he works, entered cohort isolation the day before. Cohort isolation is a method of grouping people exposed to a specific disease together for quarantine. Among the 164 people quarantined, 102 tested negative, and the rest are still awaiting results.
