20s Arrested for Killing Girlfriend, Putting Her in a Sack, and Dumping at Gyeongin Ara Waterway
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] A man in his 20s who killed his girlfriend and put her body in a gamani sack was arrested by the police.
On the 25th, the Incheon Western Police Station announced that they had arrested A (27, male) on suspicion of murder and were investigating him.
A is suspected of beating his girlfriend B (29) with his fist and strangling her to death at a villa in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, in early last month. He is believed to have put B's body in a gamani sack and dumped it in an empty lot near Moksanggyo Bridge on the Gyeongin Ara Waterway in Sicheon-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.
When B's body was discovered at the location on the morning of the same day, the police launched an investigation and arrested A at the villa in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The police reviewed CCTV footage around the site where the body was found to confirm A's movements and B's identity.
B was found dead inside the gamani sack, fully clothed, and was reported to be in an advanced state of decomposition.
