Public Shopping, Forms 'New Coronavirus Response TF'
Rapid Decision-Making and Action Through Department and Team Leader-Centered Structure
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Gongyoung Shopping has formed a task force team (TF) to actively respond to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
Gongyoung Shopping announced on the 6th that it has established the 'Novel Coronavirus Response TF' to ensure smooth business response and protect employee health. This measure comes as the crisis alert level for the novel coronavirus was raised from caution to warning, and confirmed cases have recently appeared in the same industry. Due to the nature of home shopping, which sells various products via live broadcasts, there are frequent visits from multiple partner companies as well as frequent movement of staff for broadcasting purposes.
The 'Novel Coronavirus Response TF' (hereinafter Response TF) is composed of the head of the Communications Office and team leaders from eight related departments and headquarters, including Business Planning, Business Management, Human Resources, External Cooperation, Public Relations, Sales Management, Broadcast Operations, and Programming. The Response TF is responsible for major decision-making and progress related to infection prevention measures, business countermeasures, and various external responses concerning the novel coronavirus, and will operate an emergency duty system. The TF will operate until the situation is judged to be over.
On the 6th, Gongyoung Shopping temporarily closed the partner consultation room on the 20th floor of the building to prevent virus spread and replaced it with telephone consultations. Guests who appeared on other companies’ broadcasts where confirmed cases were reported have been replaced with other guests for ongoing broadcasts. In addition, regular disinfection work is being carried out mainly in studios where broadcasting-related staff frequently move.
